Born and raised in Detroit, Dominic was immersed from an early age in the rich musical history of Motown. A Graduate of Michigan State University, he earned his bachelor degree in Fine Arts. Dominic is known for his tasteful approach to both electric and upright bass, and his exposure in Detroit to the genres of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Classic Blues and Rock & Roll have helped shape him into one of the most versatile and in-demand bass players, in the notoriously competitive Nashville session scene.
Dominic moved to Nashville in 2012, and quickly gained notoriety for his ability to work across multiple genres. During this time, he played on records with Drake Bell, Will Hoge, The Milk Carton Kids, Steven Tyler, Michael Kiwanuka, Colin Linden, Luther Dickinson, Josie Dunne, The North Mississippi Allstars, Brian Setzer, Tom Jones, Jim Lauderdale, Dwight Yoakam and Beyonce.
As a first-call session bass player, Dominic has recorded with Wanda Jackson, Tom Jones, Jeff Daniels, Adele, Beyonce, Beck, Buddy Miller, Brian Setzer and Christina Aguilera. He is best known for his extensive work with Jack White, as both musician and band leader. As a producer, he has worked with Willie Nelson, Gregory Stovetop, Jen Sygit, and Greensky Bluegrass. As a 20 year touring veteran, he has taken the stage with Don Henley, John Hiatt, Patty Griffin, Q Tip, Buddy Miller, Lee Ann Womack, Robert Plant, Pearl Jam, the North Mississippi Allstars and Lucinda Williams.
