Doug produces original music, underscore and themes, as well as providing music supervision and musical direction services to major TV and cable networks, Netflix, and Hollywood Production Companies.
Having completed his studies at the world renowned Berklee School of Music, Doug embarked on a professional music career that would see him play a part in shaping electronic music. At just nineteen years old, he engineered on the multi-platinum single “Head Like A Hole” by Nine Inch Nails. In the years that followed, he worked on over 300 singles for many of the world’s top artists, with 31 of those singles reaching #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.
As a contributor of original music, Doug has worked on over 200 TV shows. In the role of Music Supervisor and Musical Director, he has worked on multiple high profile projects from prime time TV shows to Presidential Inaugurations, Award Shows, and blockbuster movies including Legally Blonde. As a Producer and Mixer, he has worked with household names including Alicia Keys, Babyface, Boy George, Chaka Khan, David Byrne, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Love and Rockets, Madonna, Melissa Etheridge, Michael Jackson, New Order, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Pet Shop Boys, Queen Latifa, Ru Paul, Elton John, Seether and Ultra Nate.
When he’s not in the studio, Doug makes time to Host and coordinate the A3E events (The Advanced Audio and Application Exchange), including presentations at major music trade shows and conferences in Los Angeles, Nashville, Frankfurt and Moscow. He recently launched his latest company, BlackSleeve Media, which aims to revitalize revenue streams for music by generating new revenue models for Artists.
Endorsed by the Yamaha Corporation and Steinberg, Doug also works closely to showcase the leading brands in music and technology including Google, Microsoft, Line 6, iZotope, and Intel through his role as Conference Chair of A3E. He is fluent in Cubase, Nuendo, and has worked with most other recording platforms from vintage analog tape to experimental mobile apps.
