Originally from New Jersey, Reid’s passion for music began at a young age, and mostly involved performing. His college years brought him to Middle Tennessee State University where he studied business and recording arts. During this time, he began to transition into mixing after interning at a number of Nashville studios. His ability to mix music over a wide range of genres has made him a highly sought-after mixer.
Reid moved to Nashville after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University and quickly began advancing his career through his home studio, noted for his ability to record music across a wide range of genres and artists. He has mixed award winning projects in rock, pop, country, christian music, r&b, gospel, soul, metal, classical, film scores - a remarkable repertoire in a profession which is often highly specialized in one or two main directions.
Reid’s resume includes working with the likes of The Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Switchfoot, MercyMe, The Backstreet Boys, Death Cab for Cutie, Cage the Elephant, Kelly Clarkson, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson, Adele, Keith Urban, The Temptations, Neil Young and Norah Jones.
His 20+ years of expertise in this industry has resulted in 10 Grammy-Winning projects and multiple nominations. His Nashville home studio is a state of the art facility and has housed many artists over the years including Dierks Bentley, Colony House, Ingrid Michaelson, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town, Steven Tyler, Kelsea Ballerini, Backstreet Boys, Lady Antebellum, Cage The Elephant, Eric Church, Jake Owen. Reid also owns his own publishing company and a strategic consulting firm.
