Sean Giovanni is a sonic storyteller with a mission to help artists achieve their artistic vision through record production and visual media. His passion for music began after entering an art competition in 1st grade. He was awarded 1st prize in the music category for a song which he wrote and recorded. That experience struck a spark of inspiration that has since grown into a massive blaze with no signs of burning out.
Throughout middle school and high school, Sean began to collect some basic recording equipment and assembled a makeshift studio in his parents basement. He collaborated with friends, experimented with recording techniques, and decided that a career as a Producer/Engineer was his true calling. After earning a degree in audio engineering and production, he set out to Nashville to begin his professional career.
Sean entered the Nashville recording industry at a challenging time. Commercial studios were struggling to survive, jobs were slim, and internships were held for those currently attending college. While searching for job opportunities in Nashville, Sean began seeking freelance sessions; working out of an apartment on Nashville’s music row. He never found the staff engineer job he was hoping for, but out of this lack of employment came a tremendous opportunity to build his own business. The Record Shop was born.
Since then, Sean has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of artists including, Big & Rich, Tim McGraw, Randy Houser, John Legend, Juicy J, Lil Jon, Zak Wylde, Brett Michaels, The Wallflowers, Dr. John, and more. The Record Shop has grown into a highly sought after production company for artists, labels, publishers, and content creators that are in need of a production team that can handle a wide range of content creation.
Most recently, Sean Co founded a mindset development platform called Mind Map. Mind map was designed to help creatives master a balance between art and business, while implementing consistent action to achieve their prosperity. Mentorship is a major passion for Sean. He has collaborated with The Recording Connection, Grammy U, Grammy Camp, The NAMM show, and several universities through workshops and mentor programs.
